Sound Like:
Recorded a self titled debut album with Minor Dischord in October 2006 resulting in live TV and radio interviews and performances (b93.1 in Modesto) (Ch 10 Sacramento) (various public access shows and local radio as well).
Minor Dischord has been nominated for a MAMA Award (Modesto Area Musicians Association) in '07 & '08 and has won a STAMMY (Stockton grammy) in 2006 for our original songwriting efforts , which Tim is the chief songwriter. In addition we mastered our debut album in 2006 at grammy award producing Prarie Sun Studios in Cotati , CA.
Tim has been a self recording machine since 1997 and has recorded many local bands from Virginia to California in order to gain experience on both sides of the glass , enabling him to become a good studio musician , comfortable backing or leading a group.

After being a casual musician for years , developing his own style of playing and writing , Tim has really found his calling. The last two years , he has played approx 200 gigs around NorCal meeting many musicians (the wise elders and hungry young).
Since moving to California in 2002 , he immediately helped form Minor Dischord (a groove rock band from Stockton CA) and they have been featured live on TV and radio programs in the Sacramento , Stockton and Modesto areas in addition to many shows from clubs to festivals. This has led to other video programs in Berkeley , Sacramento , Stockton and Modesto and hundreds of shows throughout northern CA.
In 2008 FunkyTim formed "the 209 All Stars" , a collection of talented musicians , to play a diverse mix of popular modern and classic music. This band is anything but typical when it comes to song selection and our energetic live shows. Our ability to invite anyone to come play with us for specific shows has won us many fans and clients. In under a year , we have performed over 100 gigs.
With vast influence ( all classic styles , jambands/improvised music , and underground origininality ) , its important for Tim to mix and match sounds and styles to create next textures.
Working on acoustic 12 string (solo) or with a full band , this is one hard working musician.
